Staff Accountant

Position Description

The Staff Accountant manages day-to-day accounting activities related to

CareHere's business operations. The Staff Accountant performs basic accounting

functions, such as: accounts receivable, billing, bank reconciliation,

reporting, debits and credits, accounts payable and coding. The Staff

Accountant assists in month end close and fixed assets tracking.


Essential_Duties_And_Responsibilities

* Performs basic accounting functions such as: accounts receivable,

billing, bank reconciliation, reporting, debits and credits, accounts

payable and coding.

* Reconciles vendor statements and customer accounts.

* Researches and corrects discrepancies.

* Interacts directly with customer care departments to address customer

issues.

* Communicates with external clients by both phone and email.

* Generates and manages various reports.

* Performs bank reconciliations and assists in month end close and fixed

assets tracking.

* Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in

accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

* Oversees purchasing approvals with directors of clinical services.

* Assists in weekly accounts payable functions, including data entry in the

accounting system.

* Process weekly vendor payment.

* Generate monthly program fee invoices.

* Review and process bi-weekly expense reports.

About_You

* Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Accounting.

* Two (2) to Three (3) years of experience in accounting.

* Ability to make independent decisions, solve problems, and prioritize

workload.

* Previous experience and knowledge of general accounting practices related

to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and debits and credits.

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel

* Experience in Intact preferred.

* Strong problem solving skills, strong organizational skills, attention to

detail, ability to work independently, and ability to manage multiple

projects.

* Ability to use technology to collect, manipulate data, determine

significant findings, and present reports.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills to address individuals

and small groups.

* Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability under

strict deadlines.
